So many Brides and Grooms have had to postpone their wedding day, or even cancel due to Covid-19 (The Coronavirus). Katie and Billy were very lucky, their wedding day fell on the 14th March 2020, just before the lockdown started.

Bridal Prep

Katie and her two bridesmaids got ready with excitment at Airden House, which is a lovely boutique guest house and is located in York city centre. Bryony Herbert Make-up Artist created the look for Katie and her hair was styled by Aimee from Mark Lee Hairdressing and Skin Clinic. Both ladies were absolutely brilliant and lovely to work along side.

I love to photograph bridal prep, because I’m a sucker for capturing the detail, like the dress hung up beautifully, the flowers and the shoes, the moments of laughter and excitement. The prosecco was flowing and the atmosphere was brilliant. Everyone was in good spirits and excited for the day ahead. Once Katie was ready she got whisked up to All Saint’s Church in Huntington by Executive Cars York.

The Ceremony

I absolutely love a church wedding because the atmosphere is always lovely.  The church was filled with Katie & Billy’s family and friends. All eagerly awaiting the arrival of Katie, her bridesmaids and flower girls. The ceremony was beautiful and brought a tear to the eye. After signing the register, Katie and Billy walked up the aisle together, as man and wife. Luckily the rain held off while we photographed the formals in the church grounds.

York Wedding Photography Packages by Charlotte Atkinson Photography

I like to include two photographers in my wedding photography packages, this way you have 2 angles in the church during the ceremony. During the formal group photos, the second shooter can be setting up the next photo, or capturing those moments that you don’t know are happening.

My half day wedding photography package starts from only £500. This includes two wedding photographers and edited images on a USB. Which you can treasure and look back on for years to come.

If you want full day coverage of your wedding, this starts from £995. Again including two wedding photographers. We will cover from arrival at your ceremony to your first dance as a married couple. You will receive your edited wedding photos on a personalised USB.
