A little bit about my background

I am a York Wedding Photographer and I’ve had an interest in photography from the young age of 5 years old. This interest soon became a passion. I always dreamt of becoming a photographer when I grew up, now the dream is a reality. I studied hard at York College where I gained my A Level in photography. Bradford College then offered me an unconditional offer. Here I achieved my HND in photography, then followed it up, with graduating with a BA Hons degree in photography.

After leaving college I photographed my first wedding… and loved the experience. It was completely different then, I photograph the whole wedding on 35mm film. From there I progressed to setting up my own photography business in 2012, and have never looked back.

I feel like the luckiest person alive, to be doing my dream job, being a wedding photographer.

Being a York Wedding Photographer

I’m based in the beautiful city of York. I do also cover the rest of Yorkshire too and I’m happy to travel a little further a field. Been a local York Wedding Photographer has its advantages. There are so many amazing wedding venues in York, in the centre and on the out skirts. York is idilic for wedding photography, the city is steeped with historic building and beauty spots. I’m familiar with most of the wedding venues in York, which helps with planning your wow bride and groom photos.

My Style of Wedding Photography

I love being a wedding photographer. I love the fact I get to meet so many different people. I absolutely love creating something beautiful that you can look back on to remember your wedding day by.

 I have a relaxed, fun but professional approach to photographing weddings. I like to keep my bride and groom at ease… stress free.

My style is a mixture of styles. If you want something more natural, I’m happy to disappear into the crowd of guests. You wouldn’t even know I was there. However this style does not involve posed wedding photos. If you like posed and dramatic wedding photos, I’m happy to create this for you as well. I try to tailor my style to suit each bride and groom, after all it is your wedding day.

Your Wedding Day

Regardless of if you’ve booked a York Registry Office Wedding Photography Package or a Full Day Wedding Photography Package, you still get the same quality of service. I always arrive with plenty of time to spare, because the last thing you want to worry about is; where is the wedding photographer? I will capture the key moments from your wedding day, I will do this discretely and in an non intrusive way.

I’m also not just the wedding photographer, I am the person who holds your wedding dress from the ground as you walk. I am the person who fixes your daughters hair. I am the person who helps to make sure your day runs soothly, while capturing the smiles and laughter for your to look back on.

Your wedding photos are something to be treasured. They might not be out on display everyday, but when you do get your wedding album or usb out, they make you smile and bring back happy memories. At the end of the day, the wedding cake is eaten, the confetti drifts away and all you are left with to remember your day by is your wedding photos.
